The Process Technology Technical Diploma program prepares students for entry-level careers operating and maintaining industrial process systems. Students develop foundational and technical skills in process operations, industrial safety, equipment operation, process instrumentation, process control, process measurements, and troubleshooting. Laboratory and applied learning experiences provide students with opportunities to practice the skills required to monitor production processes, follow operating procedures, recognize process conditions, and support safe industrial operations. Graduates are prepared for employment as entry-level process technicians, plant operators, production operators, and related positions in refineries, chemical plants, petrochemical facilities, manufacturing operations, and other industrial environments. The Technical Diploma is a stackable credential within the Process Technology pathway and may be completed as a stand-alone credential or used as a pathway toward the Associate of Applied Science degree in Process Technology. Students may also begin with the Process Technology Support Technician Certificate of Technical Studies (CTS) and continue into the Technical Diploma and AAS degree.
