Geology (GEOL)

GEOL 1010 — Physical Geology   3 credit hours

This course includes the study of the formation of rocks, minerals and land forms. Topics include the geological process of weathering, physical agents causing change, and the interpretation of evidence for these processes.

GEOL 1030 — Physical Geology Lab.   1 credit hour

This accompanying laboratory uses physical and chemical techniques to study rocks and minerals. It incorporates maps to demonstrate formation and change in land forms. Lab Fee. Corequisite: GEOL 1010.
